ipostparcels.com Prepares for the Olympics

As 24 venues across London will be used during the Olympic Games there will undoubtedly be severe congestion from mid-July to mid-September. To minimise disruption to their parcel delivery services UK Mail have drafted in extra personnel to respond to any disruptions should it occur. Opening times at collection points have been extended and have additional facilities in and around the London area have been made available to be opened at short notice should further capacity be required. Alternative delivery methods including smaller vehicles, cycles and foot couriers will also be utilised.
UK Mail's consumer parcel delivery company ipostparcels.com, has also announced the launch of a brand new promotion ahead of this summer's highly-anticipated Olympic Games. Their 'Parcel Pete's Golden Treats' competition will award twitter followers GBP 5 off their next shipment for every Gold medal won by Team GB.
To take part in the competition customers of the parcel delivery service will have to follow on twitter and retweet specific messages ipostparcels tweet every time Team GB wins a gold medal. Customers will automatically be entered into the draw by retweeting the message and at the end of the Games all the winners will be picked out at random for each Gold medal won.
During the 2008 Beijing Olympics Team GB won 19 Gold medals and with the London Games tipped to be a winning year for British athletes there is expected to be large numbers of winners for the 'Parcel Pete's Golden Treats' competition.
