(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/01/12 -- The Commonwealth Club's INFORUM will host a panel discussion with some of the city's most diverse and innovative chefs on followed by a guerilla-style popup dinner at SF Foodlab courtesy of The meal is open exclusively to our INFORUM guests, and each course will be created or inspired by one of our all-star panelists including of Delfina and Locanda, of Mission Street Food, Mission Chinese and Commonwealth, of Hapa Ramen, of Forage SF and The Underground Market, and and of Rice Paper Scissors.

San Francisco's food scene is robust and vibrant; it takes a diligent reader (and eater!) to keep up to date with the ebb and flow of talented cooks and innovative eating spots. In our food-saturated city, what is an aspiring Thomas Keller to do? Though the excess of local food culture might seem like an access barrier for future food stars, our all-star panelists are proving that with creative business models, unflagging passion and open minds, success in our over-stuffed city is not out of reach. At the one-hour panel discussion on Aug. 9th our gustatory gurus will dish on their journeys to the top, what you'll need for the climb and how they define success in today's food scene.

After the panel, join us for INFORUM's first guerilla dining experience, courtesy of graffEats and hosted by Katie Kwan of Rice Paper Scissors. We'll be chowing down on a surprise menu inspired (and created) by our food chain panelists at Foodlab, SF's new commissary kitchen and pop-up venue. Guests will enjoy 3+ delicious courses, wine pairings and great people. Tickets are limited and include the all-inclusive pop-up dinner, drinks and admission to the panel beforehand.
