Correctional Service of Canada: Update on Failure to Return to Grierson Centre

(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/13/12 -- Marc Hegedus is back in custody. Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) was informed at approximately 9:30 p.m. on August 12, 2012 that Hegedus had turned himself in to the Edmonton Police Service.

On August 11, 2012, Marc Hegedus failed to return to Grierson Centre, a minimum-security federal penitentiary. The inmate had been in the community on a work release. CSC contacted the police and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

CSC will be conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
