Award-Winning Journalist Joins Growing Public Relations and Public Affairs Practice at Kemp Goldberg Partners
Agency Names Diana Ichton Nelson Senior Account Executive
(firmenpresse) - PORTLAND, ME -- (Marketwire) -- 08/14/12 -- Kemp Goldberg Partners, a nationally recognized advertising, public relations and interactive agency, today announced the appointment of Diana Ichton Nelson to the position of senior account executive. Nelson brings an extensive background in journalism and more than 10 years of media experience to her new role in the agency's public relations and public affairs department.
Prior to joining Kemp Goldberg Partners, Nelson worked as a reporter and anchor for the CBS network affiliate WGME-TV of Portland. She has also held positions at Herald Media, Inc. of Boston, WMUR-TV of Manchester, N.H., and as media relations manager for Black Fly Media, a Portland-based HD video production company.
During her tenure at WGME News 13, Nelson regularly interacted with various business leaders and policy makers in the community, including key state legislators. Her work garnered several promotions, bringing her from a beat reporter to franchise producer for "13 On Your Side," a franchise she created and turned into an award-winning daily segment. Most recently, she was the morning news anchor for WGME and WPFO's early shows. Nelson has been recognized by Maine's Attorney General for her exemplary contributions to consumer reporting, including securing over $100,000 in refunds for Maine consumers.
