Transaction in Own Shares and Total Voting Rights

Shore Capital Group plc (the "Company") announces that it purchased 110,000 of
its ordinary shares of 2p each at an average price of 39.25p per share on Monday
15 March 2010. All of these shares will be cancelled.
Shore Capital Group plc holds 28,369,252 ordinary shares of 2p each as treasury
shares.
Shore Capital Group plc's issued share capital (excluding shares held as
treasury shares) as at 15 March 2010 consists of 245,985,265 ordinary shares of
2p each which equates to the total number of voting rights in Shore Capital
Group plc.
The above figure of 245,985,265 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
