Startup Behind the Ceph Distributed Storage System Expands to Two Offices With New Branch in Silicon Valley

The Sunnyvale location is Inktank's second office, with the company headquarters based in Los Angeles.
Inktank employees in the new Sunnyvale office will work together with their LA colleagues, as well as the worldwide Ceph developer community, to continue to build Ceph to its full potential. The future of storage, Ceph is a highly scalable, open source distributed storage system that is being embraced by enterprises, developers, and a growing number of cloud platforms and distributions. While the Ceph project dates back to 2004, Inktank is a new startup launched in May 2012 to provide professional support services around Ceph. With many Inktank customers and partners in the area, opening a branch in Sunnyvale was the next logical step for the young startup.
