Qualstar Appoints Bill Lurie as Vice President of Engineering
(firmenpresse) - SIMI VALLEY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/23/12 -- Qualstar Corporation (NASDAQ: QBAK), a manufacturer of data security and archive storage solutions and high efficiency power supplies, announced today that William Lurie has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering.

Mr. Lurie joined Qualstar in 1996 and has been involved with every facet of the design and packaging of the company's widely regarded tape library families. As Engineering Manager he led the new RLS-8500 Expandable Tape Library project from concept to successful introduction. As Vice President of Engineering, he is now responsible for all mechanical, electrical and software engineering activities for Qualstar's storage business and for the company's N2Power division power supply business.
Mr. Lurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of California Santa Barbara. He has also has completed Technical and Program Management studies at UCLA and UCSB.
