COOPERATION NEGOTIATIONS AT ALMA MEDIA'S DELIVERY OPERATIONS IN THE PIRKANMAA
REGION COMPLETED
Alma Manu Oy, the printing and distribution company of Alma Media Group,
rationalises and reorganises its delivery operations in the Pirkanmaa region as
a result of the overall development in delivery volumes. Statutory cooperation
negotiations, initiated due to the planned actions, have been completed today.
As a result of the negotiations, the work force in Pirkanmaa delivery operations
will decrease by 13 full-time work years. At the beginning of the negotiations,
Alma Manu estimated that the work force could decrease by 18 full-time work
years.
As agreed in the negotiations, the efficiency in the delivery operations will be
improved by several measures, including redeveloping the delivery areas and
merging them with other delivery areas. The reduction in the work force may
result in redundancies, transfers from one position to another, changes in work
descriptions as well as changes in working hours and job entities.
Alma Manu aims to refrain from redundancies by offering jobs from other delivery
areas. In all agreed rationalising measures, a special attention will be paid to
communications and transparency of the changes.
