Second Shelter, Second Chances
(firmenpresse) - MARKHAM, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/28/12 -- Thanks to the philanthropic efforts of Vivian Risi, the Yellow Brick House, a haven for abused women and children, was able to open its much-needed second shelter in Markham this past February.
"I choose to help women and children because they are the backbone of the family, and everything starts with the family," says Risi, Broker of Record at Royal LePage -- Your Community Realty.
Yellow Brick House honoured Risi, who helped raise $4 million for the project, by naming the main floor after her. But Risi's greatest reward is the knowledge that those in need now have shelter from abuse.
