ACAZIS AG signs Memoranding of Understanding with HERAKLES FARMS, USA for
an extensive collaboration; HERKALES FARMS aims to become a shareholder of
ACAZIS AG
Acazis AG (Frankfurt, Open Market: A1C9YF) and Herakles Farms, New York
(www.heraklesfarms.com), an agricultural company dealing in the cultivation
of palm oil plantations in Ghana and Cameroon have signed an extensive
Memorandum of Understanding for a collaboration regarding agricultural
projects in Africa.
The aim is to jointly create and build one of Africa's leading agricultural
businesses. The cultivation and production of palm and castor oils will
play a particularly important role in the companies' activities. Within the
framework of this collaboration, Herakles Farms intends to become a
shareholder of Acazis AG and aims to invest a minimum of US$ 5 million by
the end of 2012. The details of the collaboration will be negotiated
further to a successful Due Diligence evaluation having been carried out
which begins this October 2012.
Herakles Farms has already developed approximately 70,000 hectares of land
in Cameroon (SG Sustainable Oils Cameroon Ltd) and operates over 4,000
acres of land bank in Ghana (SG Sustaninable Oils Ghana, Ltd). The
approximately 60,000 hectares of Acazis AG's land and its 2,200 hectares of
eucalyptus forest, both located in Ethiopia, represent an ideal
complementary business to Herakles Farms' activities. Acazis AG's oil mill,
with a pressing capacity of ca. 120 tons per day, is also of strategic
importance for the collaboration between the two companies.

operates in the cultivation and use of castor plants and peanuts in
Ethiopia, as well as the production of edible oils and animal fodder
produced in its own mill and destined for its home market.
