Straelen, September 3, 2012 - Bob Mobile AG, a leading provider of games
and mobile entertainment, today announces its updated forecast for the
fiscal year 2012. Accordingly, the Management Board expects revenues of EUR
64 to 74 million (previously EUR 95 million). At the same time, an adjusted
EBITDA of EUR 10.5 to 12.5 million is expected (previously EUR 18 million).
Herein one-time charges for the acquisition and integration of Cliq BV of
approximately EUR 1.1 million are not included. The reduced forecast is
mainly due to the development of various sales markets, which is
significantly worse than expected. Especially in Southern Europe revenues
are reduced and margins are under pressure, e.g. in Spain and Italy.
Moreover, the delay in the introduction of the new Freemium technology
platform results in lower sales and earnings than expected. The forecast
range reflects the uncertain economic environment.
The Company continues to focus on the Freemium business model, also to be
well positioned in the future. Externally this development is displayed by
the change in name from Bob Mobile AG to Cliq Digital AG, which was
concluded at the Annual General Meeting on August 24, 2012. 'We are
convinced that the name Cliq Digital fits both our current and future
products. While Bob Mobile was closely connected with second-generation
mobile handsets, the new Cliq Digital AG provides its products now
cross-platform - online as well as on smartphones and tablets', commented
Remco Westermann (CEO). In addition, the new corporate website was
launched: www.cliqdigital.com
Cliq Digital is convinced to be well positioned both in the Premium segment
and in the Freemium area. In the second half of 2012 (July to December
2012), many new products are launched - in particular under the brand name
thumbr. Further details concerning the expected business development will
be announced as part of the interim report in the end of September 2012.
