Russell Europe SMID 300 Index: European SMID-Caps Outperform Russell Developed Europe Index YTD as of September 4th

(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/07/12 -- Since the beginning of 2012, the small- and mid-cap segment of the developed European equity market, as reflected by the Russell Europe SMID 300 Index, has outperformed the broader universe of all-cap European stocks as reflected by the Russell Developed Europe Index.

Longer term, relative performance for these two indices has been mixed:

Small- and mid-cap stocks of developed European equity markets underperformed the broader universe of all-cap European stocks for the one, three and five year time periods as of September 4th.

Small- and mid-cap stocks of developed European equity markets outperformed the broader universe of all-cap European stocks for the ten year time period as of September 4th.
