ProfiLINK modul series as part of the Group's innovation drive
Munich/Hamburg, September 6, 2012 - SKM Skyline, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of euromicron AG, has developed a new K6A model from the SKM ProfiLINK
modul series and made it ready for the market as part of the euromicron
Group's Innovation drive.
The new K6A module from the SKM ProfiLINK modul series can be assembled
without the need for special tools. Since the contact zone is freely
accessible, this module can be laid multiply on to a data cable. The
required assembly time is very short compared with other modules. The
standards-compliant keystone format allows it to be installed in all
conventional distribution components.
The K6A module can be fitted with all conventional data cables from AWG 24
to AWG 22. The innovative IDC contacts ensure vibration-proof, stable
long-term contracting in 10-Gigabit technology.
The K6A modules have a particularly rugged mechanical design and ensure a
high packing density thanks to their compact form. The shielded K6A module
is made by zinc die casting.

ProfiLINK
The SKM ProfiLINK system family represents a cabling system that offers
generous performance reserves and is based on tried-and-tested,
high-quality cables and components made in Germany. The cabling system has
been tested in the link and certified by GHMT AG, a company that
specializes in high-frequency measurement technology. The advent of
Ethernet in production means industrial enterprises should ensure that the
system supplier offers a homogeneous solution for management and
production. It is important in production for certain general conditions,
such as assembly on a top hat rail and higher protection classes - IP44,
IP67 or IP20 - to be taken into account.
SKM ProfiLINK is a fully shielded cabling system complying with ISO/IEC
11801. It consists of a distributor panel, floor cable, connection socket
and flexible connection cable.
SKM ProfiLINK is distinguished in that it is particularly safe and very
quick to install, offers great performance reserves, is halogen-free and is
electromagnetically compatible. Thanks to the safety reserves of the
components used, the CAT 6/class E requirements are far exceeded. It goes
without saying that this system also meets CAT 6a requirement for
10-gigabit technology.
This is rounded out for the user by a 15-year system guarantee.
