As a result of its new release (2012-09) the Open Source eCommerce solution, Arcavias, includes a range of improvements for even more performance and data volume. Arcavias has now been optimized to handle more than one million products in a MySQL database. And the Hamburg developers of Metaways Infosystems GmbH are also proud of the increase in performance provided of 20% for the most important components as well as enhanced horizontal scaling of the system by using several, separate databases.

Arcavias has now been optimized to handle more than one million products in a MySQL database. The service provider interfaces to payment providers and inventory management have also been extended and are now completely encapsulated in separate classes. Since this week the core has also included a service provider for PayPal, so that payment can now be made directly. Arcavias has now included all important payment options in the free core version.
