Near 20th Anniversary, DartAppraisal.com Drops "Dot-Com" Tag and Announces New Headquarters
(firmenpresse) - TROY, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 09/13/12 -- After nearly two decades as an independent appraisal management company -- which in recent years included substantial growth of the company and significant changes in the appraisal industry itself -- DartAppraisal.com is preparing to take the lead for the next decade with a new name and a move to larger headquarters to accommodate projected growth.
DartAppraisal.com will return to its original name, Dart Appraisal, as it nears its 20th anniversary later this fall. The "dot-com" designation was added in 1998 to emphasize the technological leadership of the AMC in the industry. While Dart Appraisal still boasts some of the strongest technology in the appraisal industry, the name change reflects its ongoing commitment to providing one thing only: customized appraisal management services.

As of Sept. 1, the new 6,200 sq. ft. headquarters of Dart Appraisal is now located within Troy's iconic Bank of America building, 2600 West Big Beaver Rd., Suite 540, in Troy, Mich. The move nearly doubles the square footage and comes as demand and volume increases annually for the AMC. From 2010 to 2011, DartAppraisal.com shipped 76 percent more total appraisal units to clients. The anticipated 2012 unit growth is expected to exceed 2011 by nearly 40 percent. The new headquarters immediately doubles the capacity of the company, with the option for tripling capacity in the future.

The name change from DartAppraisal.com to Dart Appraisal will also include a complete graphic rebranding of the company. The company logo has been updated to reflect the change, and plans for a website transformation are underway.
The Bank of America building -- originally owned by Standard Federal Bank -- was the first building in Michigan to achieve the coveted LEED-EB Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The building had previously earned TOBY Awards [The Office Building of the Year - presented by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)] in 2002 and 2005.
