(OTCBB: BKYI), a global leader in fingerprint biometric identification solutions and advanced mobile identification technology, today reported that the company will be presenting the latest advances in fingerprint biometric authentication technology for government, enterprise and consumer markets at the Biometric Consortium Conference at the Tampa - Florida Convention Center (BOOTH # 523) September 18th - 20th.
The Biometric Consortium serves as a focal point for research, development, testing, evaluation and application of biometric-based personal identification/verification technology. The conference presents a forum for biometric technology companies to showcase their latest advancements.
Since the last BCC event in 2011, BIO-key has achieved several notable accomplishments. One such example is offered in a case study conducted with a top U.S. hospital. The study showed that BIO-key technology vastly improved the efficiency of the log-in and two-factor authentication process for staff members using EMR / EHR and ePrescriptions. During a thirty day period staff members logged-in over 252,000 times with a 99.34% initial acceptance rate.
The company also announced the first deployment of BIO-key's WEB-key® finger identification solution for the B.C. Department of Corrections. Sierra Systems, the lead technology partner, is implementing BIO-key's custom authentication scheme for CA Technologies "SiteMinder®" to provide identification and secure access to information for inmates processed through the British Columbia criminal justice system.
