Macorin was most recently Managing Director, Investments at the University of Guelph's Office of Investment Management where he was responsible for all aspects of the University's pension and endowment investments. Macorin guided the successful restructuring of the University's investment program and consistently ranked high in peer group rankings. Under Macorin's stewardship the University of Guelph was ranked the best performing pension plan in Canada in 2006.
Prior to joining the University of Guelph, Macorin spent several years as a Portfolio Manager at McGill University where he successfully managed a Canadian equity portfolio, real estate and private equity/infrastructure.
