San Gold Appoints Michaud Vice President, Exploration
(firmenpresse) - WINNIPEG, MANITOBA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/18/12 -- San Gold Corporation (TSX: SGR) (OTCQX: SGRCF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Michaud as Vice President, Exploration.
"Michael is a great addition to the team. He is a skilled geologist with an excellent understanding of Archean high-grade gold deposits. He also brings a wealth of senior management experience and an excellent understanding of the opportunities available in the junior and mid-tier gold mining sectors," said George Pirie, San Gold's President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Michaud is a professional geologist with over 25 years of experience in mineral deposit exploration and mining. He recently held the position of Vice President of Exploration for St. Andrew Goldfields Ltd. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of two junior mining and exploration companies, J-Pacific Gold Inc., and China Diamond Corp. Mr. Michaud also previously held executive positions with SRK Consulting Inc. and North American Palladium Inc. Mr. Michaud holds an Honors Earth Sciences degree from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science degree from Lakehead University.
