GeoNovus Begins Drilling on Middle Mountain and Plans Follow-Up Drilling at Red Hills, Arizona
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/19/12 -- GEONOVUS MINERALS CORP. (TSX VENTURE: GNM) ("GeoNovus" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the start of drilling at its Middle Mountain porphyry copper property in south central Arizona. The drilling will focus on several anomalies at depths of 100-400 meters that were generated from an induced polarization (IP) survey conducted in late 2011 (see news release, April 11th, 2012). The drilling company National EWP (Gilbert, Arizona) has been engaged to conduct the drilling, which will commence this week.
Follow-up drilling is also planned at its Red Hills porphyry copper project, where recently-completed drilling confirmed the presence of a fault-displaced portion of a porphyry system under sedimentary cover (see news release, September 15th, 2012). A total of four holes with a cumulative footage of 1,200 meters are anticipated at Middle Mountain, with additional meterage at Red Hills yet to be determined.
Middle Mountain is under an option agreement with Inmet Mining Corp. (TSX: INM), with GeoNovus holding its interest under a mining lease agreement with Eurasian Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE: EMX)(NYSE MKT: EMXX) through its wholly-owned subsidiary Bronco Creek Exploration Inc. Eurasian Minerals Inc. is acting as operator for the 2012 work programs at Middle Mountain and Red Hills.
The technical contents of this release were approved by Dr. Tom E. McCandless, P. Geo., Technical Advisor to Geo Minerals and qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
