(firmenpresse) - MIAMI, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/12 -- SJ, a corporate attorney turned award-winning acoustic artist, returns to his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, to conduct a continuing legal education presentation followed by a full band concert at New Hazlett Theatre to benefit the Innovation Practice Institute and the Center for International Legal Education on September 27, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Talented upright bassist and Pitt Law Professor Harry Flechtner will make a special appearance with SJ during the show.
SJ is presently on a U.S. national tour to support the release of his LP, "Coffee: Strong Brew Edition" and radio single "Let Me Be," which is currently climbing the top 40 of three major U.S. radio charts. Based in South Florida, SJ blends melodic folk, acoustic rock and light pop with a chill vibe and a soulful vocal sheen to create an acoustically soulful groove.
"My Pitt Law education has allowed me to catapult my music career in today's independent music business; I'm using my law degree and practice experience to pursue my passion for music," says the acoustically soulful folkster, SJ. "It's an honor to share my knowledge and experience with the Pittsburgh legal community, and to give back to the University by performing a benefit concert. At this point in my career, it's great to reconnect with my mentor, Professor Ron Brand, and to help support the Center for International Legal Education with which I was involved quite a bit as a student. It's also been fantastic to collaborate with Justine Kasznica, executive director of the Innovation Practice Institute, who is doing a great job creating innovative educational and practical programming for students who will soon be entering today's changing legal marketplace."
Tickets for the concert are available to the general public and may be purchased online at ($10/students and $20/non-students) or at the door ($15/students and $25/non-students). Students must show proper ID. For more event details, visit .
