(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/12 -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued warnings this week not to consume, sell or serve several brands of ground beef from XL Foods (est.38) because the products may be contaminated with E.coli.

The affected products - which include both frozen products and fresh-packed ground beef - were ONLY sold in Giant Tiger stores located in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The products were not sold in our stores in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Giant Tiger Stores Limited reacted immediately and has complied with CFIA warnings. All affected products have been completely removed from the Giant Tiger stores in Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Customers can return product for a full refund.
