San Joaquin Valley College Turns to Desire2Learn as Foundation of Outcome Based Educational Experience
Leading Community College Replaces ANGEL with Desire2Learn Learning Suite

The community college selected Desire2Learn to replace ANGEL.
SJVC has been providing outcome-oriented career education since 1977. To support the school's focus and accreditation process, SJVC needed a learning environment that offered a high level of assessment for an outcome-based institution. After determining the outcomes that each learner should have when graduating from SJVC, the school needed to tie each outcome to every course offered - all the way down to the individual questions asked of learners. Desire2Learn Learning Suite was the only environment that provided the features to accomplish this critical requirement.
"We tested several learning environments by committee to get full buy-in from faculty, students and staff. Desire2Learn scored the highest likeability ratio out of all the technologies we tested. Utilized across 12 campuses and for 1 online campus, SJVC currently has converted all courses into Desire2Learn Learning Environment. In addition, faculty and instructors can identify the specific learning outcomes achieved by each student.
