Grammer Sitting Comfort for the Eurostar
Grammer Railway Interior GmbH is equipping new high-speed Eurostar trains
with innovative seating systems.
Amberg / October 10, 2012 - Since 1994, high-speed Eurostar trains have
linked London and Paris via the Channel Tunnel. From 2014/2015 onward to
supplement the trains currently serving the Channel Tunnel route ten new
high-speed trains 'Eurostar 320' will be inaugurated. Starting in March
2013, Grammer Railway Interior GmbH, a subsidiary of Grammer AG, will be
supplying 8,940 passenger seats for new Eurostar trains. The seats are
based on a new, innovative Grammer concept for high-speed train travel.The
'Eurostar 320' is the name of a new series of high-speed trains from the
Eurostar Group. The trains are a variation on the Velaro platform pioneered
by Siemens Rail Systems and have a top speed of 320 kilometers per hour.
Following an order from Deutsche Bahn to mordernize 46,000 IC seats, this
is another important seat order for the railway segment of the Grammer
Group in 2012.
