(firmenpresse) - PERTH, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/10/12 -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- (NYSE:CVX) (Perth, Australia) has confirmed that the three liquefied natural gas (LNG) train Gorgon projects will expand to four trains. The first three natural gas liquefaction trains, currently under construction, will have an capacity of 15.6 million-metric-tonnes-per-year. The addition of a fourth is expected to produce another 5.2 million-metric-tonnes-per-year. An extra natural gas export pipeline and increased LNG storage capacity will be required as part of the expansion. Feed gas will be drawn from Chevron's Geryon and Chandon fields, which are expected to provide a total of 11 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
