VIPA Teleservice: Less is often more - the new VIPA TM-C router
(PresseBox) - VIPAs highly successful Teleservice branch has an addition to the family: The brand new VIPA TM-C router. In addition to the TM-E and TM-H series they have now concentrated on those customers who don't always need all the features of the standard devices.
"Mere remote maintenance is often sufficient. Access to the control systems and Panels via Ethernet, MPI and PROFIBUS is standard on all our Teleservice modules. Tag Polling, Alarm Management, customized Web pages are features that our customers like to use - and use extensively, but often don't need these possibilities.", explained Sascha Isinger, product manager at VIPA GmbH, in Herzogenaurach.
The new TM-C router is characterized mainly by its lean web interface. "Less is often more" From this point of view they have taken care to keep the Web interfaces, which are used to configure the unit, as lean and user friendly as possible. With just a few clicks the settings for communication with your controller are dealt with and nothing more stands in the way of remote access.
Access itself is via a LAN/ADSL, which in combination with the free Talk2M Service, represents an unbeatable solution. "Here we give our customers the opportunity enter into secured broadband remote maintenance, without having to worry about safety certificates or other safety-critical points." Isinger went on to explain.
The TM-C router is fundamentally different from the units of the TM-E and TM-H series, in that it has received a trimmed down web interface for ease of configuration, features like Tag Polling, Alarm Management, customized web pages were omitted in order to focus on the actual remote access and communication is realized purely via a LAN/ADSL-Talk2M connection. Users who are considering to equip their machines and systems , as standard, with intelligent broadband remote maintenance, are right on the mark with the TM-C-Router. And if at some time it needs to be that little bit more, then the TM-E and TM-H series are always available.
