The Swedish Tax Agency chooses EDB

(Oslo, 16 April 2010) EDB has won a contract with the Swedish Tax Agency
(Skatteverket). The contract is for operations and administration services for
the Spar register of personal addresses, which is an official register of all
individuals registered as resident in Sweden. The agreement represents total
contract value of about SEK 50 million.
The official Swedish register of personal addresses, known as Spar, is the
Swedish equivalent of Folkeregisteret, the National Population Register, in
Norway. Spar holds information on everyone who is registered as resident in
Sweden, including both Swedish citizens and citizens of other countries resident
in Sweden. Spar is used by the Swedish authorities, the police and other bodies
to maintain and check the information in their own register databases.

EDB has received provisional notice that it is to be awarded the contract. In
accordance with Swedish legislation, the contract can only be finalised after
the expiry of a notice period.
