Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are once again emerging from the sewers of New York City, and this time, they are just in time for the holiday season. To celebrate the Turtles' return, Nickelodeon Canada and Toys"R"Us Canada invite TMNT fans across the country to bring their inner Turtle to life through an 'epic adventure' of martial arts lessons and demonstrations.
On Saturday October 13, 2012, all Toys"R"Us locations (excluding Express stores) across the country will offer moms, dads, kids and families the opportunity to come and discover the magic of performing moves like the Turtles themselves at this nationwide event. The event will run from 12 - 2 p.m. with 15 minute interval demonstrations run by local martial arts studio instructors - kids are encouraged to dress as their favorite character and learn the moves that helped the Turtles defeat Shredder time and time again. The first 100 children at each store will also receive a LEGO® Ninja Turtles poster.
To bring these iconic characters back into the homes of so many who loved them before, Nickelodeon has an all-new, CG-animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The new series airs on Saturdays at 11:00 am on YTV. This 26-episode, half-hour action-comedy series breathes new life into the wildly popular band of reptile brothers played by Jason Biggs (American Pie) as "Leonardo", Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as "Raphael", Greg Cipes (Teen Titans) as "Michelangelo" and Rob Paulsen (Planet Sheen) as "Donatello" (Paulsen also voiced the original "Raphael" from 1987-1996 in the very first TMNT series).
Toys"R"Us' vast assortment of action figures, vehicles, role play items and playsets will engage kids to the iconic characters they see on TV.
