Northwest Indiana Farm to Be Offered in November 17 Auction
(firmenpresse) - WHEATFIELD, IN -- (Marketwire) -- 10/16/12 -- A 500-acre farm in the Wheatfield area in northwestern Indiana will be offered at auction Saturday, Nov. 17, with managing the sale.
"This Jasper County land has been very well managed, with no-till farming practiced since 1999, resulting in a very efficient and modern operation that will benefit the next owners," said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company. "Quality of management is one of the most important factors for those seeking to buy farmland, and the family has provided that for years."
The property, located in the Kankakee Township, approximately three miles from Wheatfield, will be offered in nine tracts, with land tracts ranging from 15 acres to 131 acres. The homestead -- with a four-bedroom home, buildings and grain bins -- will sell on a six-acre tract.
"These are properties that can be integrated easily into an existing operation, with area farmers purchasing tracts they can work with existing equipment. Someone could purchase all the land, or several could purchase smaller amounts of it. We'll sell it in the combination that brings the best total price for the seller," said Schrader.
