Building on the recently launched social network features, Marketplace introduces ecommerce and project management into the Visually platform. By tapping into Visually's vibrant community of more than 45,000 designers, Marketplace is able to match infographic commissioners -- brands, companies, agencies -- with designers based on shared interests and needs.

With Visually Marketplace, the entire project takes place directly on the site -- from payment to delivering the final product. It begins with the designer matching process, using an algorithm to detect the best match based on a set of criteria that includes preferred style and desired layout. Once the match is made, a project management system kicks in, guiding both parties through the creation of the graphic. This includes the ability to upload and approve drafts, share feedback and track the progress of the project in real-time. The system even creates a program timeline and sends alerts when due dates are approaching to ensure projects come in on time and on budget.

All designers on the Visually Marketplace are pre-screened, and all work delivered via the Marketplace is guaranteed by Visually. As a public beta, Visually Marketplace supports the creation of static infographics. In the coming months additional functionalities will be added to the platform, including -- support for interactive and motion graphics, access to third-party data feeds and connections to additional creative resources like data analysts, researchers and journalists that will help commissioners tackle more complex projects via the platform.
