(firmenpresse) - SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/19/12 -- The Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) are co-hosting 'tech+ 2012,' a new concept knowledge concert which invites innovation leaders representing various fields to share their knowledge and bring together ideas to change the world, at Olympic Park in Seoul from November 7 through 8.
Celebrating its fourth anniversary this year, 'tech+,' also known as Korean TED, is the country's first and largest knowledge concert where a wide variety of fusion knowledge on industrial technologies is combined with special lectures, performances and demonstrations. Under this year's theme "Dreams Meet Technologies, dream(at)technology," it will invite visitors to join high-profile guests in experiencing the future paradigm of technology. In 2011, it gained the spotlight with a group of renowned guest speakers including Jay Elliot, former Senior Vice President of Apple, and Ge Wang, a digital genius and a maker of hit iPhone music application "Ocarina."
This year, 'tech+ 2012' will be joined by 18 world-class speakers both from Korea and around the world, including Minister of Knowledge Economy Suk-Woo Hong, Peter Underwood, author of "First Mover," Daniel Altman, economist and author of "Outrageous Fortunes" and Byeong-Joon Hwang, CEO of Sound/mirror Korea and Korea's first Grammy Award Winner in Best Engineering Category, Dov Moran, one of the most successful Israeli venture leaders in Silicon Valley, and Woong-Hyun Park, creative director and also a heroin at Youth Concert.
During the exhibition period, special exhibition space "tech+ Gallery" will also be open to the public for firsthand experience with industrial technologies. Joined by K-POP musicians, "tech+ Concert" will also add to interesting experiences and fun for visitors.
"tech+ 2012 is a whole new-concept knowledge forum of storytelling which brings together emotions, cultures and arts of mankind while combining modern technologies and knowledge," said Yong-Geun Kim, President of KIAT. "It focuses on promoting communication between technologies and the general public."
