Appsecute Unveils Next Generation Cloud Application Management Tools
Collaborative Tools for Developers and Operations Now Publicly Available

A key part of this vision is the use of Platform as a Service. PaaS delivers big reductions in the time to market and cost of running cloud-based applications, by eliminating most of the operational work and providing a 'self-service' interface for developers.
But so far PaaS has mainly been used by developers working outside the IT department, creating so-called Rogue IT. "Attempting to deploy PaaS applications in production creates a big problem for IT departments," Power says. "The management tools needed are just not there yet, making it difficult to deal with security, audit, compliance and uptime requirements."
By combining PaaS with tools that facilitate collaboration and visibility, Appsecute builds a bridge between IT and the business. Developers have the capability to perform the operations role as 'devops' for some systems, while handing over responsibility to IT for more mission-critical production systems.
The Appsecute tools cover application deployment, configuration, scaling and monitoring, providing a single view across all the cloud platforms used by a team or an organization. Clouds, individual applications, services and access to cloud platforms can be shared by a team, within a company, or even shared with selected people in other companies to allow the idea of 'collaborative deployment.' Full role-based access control ensures people can be given the right level of access for the job they are doing.
