GIAN MARIA OLIVETTI APPOINTED CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, FEDERAL-MOGUL POWERTRAIN SEGMENT

SOUTHFIELD, Michigan, October 25, 2012...Federal-Mogul Corporation (FDML:
NASDAQ) announced today that Gian Maria Olivetti has been appointed chief
technology officer, Federal-Mogul Powertrain segment, effective immediately.
Olivetti will oversee global coordination of all engineering, research and
product development activities for Federal-Mogul's powertrain technologies. He
will also serve as the company's chief technical spokesperson at industry and
professional association events. He will report directly to Rainer Jueckstock,
co-CEO, Federal-Mogul and CEO Powertrain segment.

leadership and recognized technical knowledge," said Jueckstock. "His vast
experience will help drive our commitment to providing global leading powertrain
technologies that reduce emissions, improve fuel economy and enhance
durability."
Olivetti joined Federal-Mogul in 2007 as vice president, R&D, for Pistons, Rings
and Liners, where he managed development of new technologies for those products.
He joined Federal-Mogul from Fiat Group, where he had served most recently as
executive director with worldwide engines and transmissions R&D responsibility
for IVECO, the commercial trucks and vans, public and commercial buses,
recreational, special off-road, firefighting, defense and military vehicles
company of the Fiat Group. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing
responsibility within the powertrain research and product development sections
of the company. He began his career at SKF as a quality manager.
Olivetti earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic
University of Turin in Turin, Italy in 1980.
