(PresseBox) - Schneider-Kreuznach presents the Macro Varon 4.5/85 with beam splitter at VISION 2012. This robust industrial lens has been especially developed for line-scan applications. The 60 mm beam splitter cube makes it possible to create coaxial illumination for highly reflective objects. The lens design considers the optical glass path of the high quality beamsplitter to achieve a top performance.The Macro Varon 4.5/85 with beam splitter delivers a high optical performance with 3.5x magnification over the entire field. The optical path length of the beam splitter was taken into consideration in designing the lens to achieve a high image quality. The lens and beam splitter are precisely aligned to each other, so that a maximum of light is captured on the camera sensor with almost no loss at the image edges.
The lens has been optimized for high-resolution line-scan cameras with up to 12k and a 5 ?m pixel size, such as those used in FPD and PCB inspection systems. It is therefore ideally suited for inspecting circuit boards, glass and displays, where a bright, diffuse uniform illumination is needed.
