BUSINESS AND ACADEMIC LEADERS DEBATE KEY FACTORS IN THE POST-CRISIS ERA AT THE WHARTON GLOBAL ALUMNI FORUM IN MADRID

The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with its 85 000 global
alumni, will hold its prestigious Global Alumni Forum for the first time in
Madrid

Madrid, 30 April, 2010:  With the theme "A whole new world: Where do we go from
here?" the Wharton Global Alumni Forum to be held in Madrid on June 24 and
25, 2010, will cover topics ranging from finance, energy, telecommunications,
innovation and tourism. Global business leaders and senior Wharton School
faculty members will debate new forms of business leadership that the world
economic recovery will require.

Dean Thomas S. Robertson of the Wharton School said, "the goal of the Wharton
Global Alumni Forum is to create a platform to discuss the many challenges and
opportunities we incur in the current economic climate. It is especially timely
to hold this year's forum in Madrid as we will discuss subject matter relevant
to the European region and the world. With our global reputation for
intellectual leadership and excellence in business education, Wharton holds a
unique position in bringing together leaders and thinkers to discuss these
issues."

The Global Alumni Forum in Madrid is expected to draw over 500 business leaders
from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, made up of Wharton
alumni and their invitees.

According to Sebastián Escarrer (WG'93,) Chairman of the Organizing Committee, a
Wharton graduate and Vice Chairman of the Sol Meliá group, and Chairman of
Wharton EMEA Executive Board: "this will be a unique opportunity for Madrid to
hold a Forum like this, an honour that it will share with only the main
financial capitals in the world." The forum will be supported by the Wharton
alumni Club Spain, chaired by Pelayo Primo de Rivera.





Topics for panel discussions include:

* The Future of Energy
* The New Financial World
* Technology and Innovation
* Relaunching Private Equity
* Real Estate: Exploring the Road to Recovery
* The challenges of tourism
* Internationalization



Master classes will be given by Wharton's leading professors on topics of
interest to the region including Jeremy Siegel, on finance, Mauro Guillen, on
business globalization, and Olivia Mitchell, on risk management and Raffi Amit,
on entrepreneurship.
