The Laiva mine produced 87 kilos of gold during October 2012

During October 2012, the gold production at the Laiva mine amounted to 87
kilos. Highest daily production was 5,7 kilos of gold and the daily production,
with plant in operation, averaged 4,4 kilos per day.
The availability of the concentrating plant was 64 per cent during October; the
main reasons were recurring disruptions at the paste plant during the beginning
of the month and a, longer than planned, maintenance stop for the yearly change
of liners in the primary mill. Throughput in the grinding circuit was between
70 and 80 per cent of the designed capacity, at the higher end in the later part
of the month. The gold recovery was 86 per cent during the month while the gold
content in the ore processed amounted to 1.2 grams per tonne.
During the first ten months of the year the total gold production at the Laiva
mine in Finland amounted to 733 kilos.
