GOGL - New CFO appointed in Golden Ocean

Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal (33) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of
Golden Ocean Management AS. She currently serves as Vice President, Investments
of The Torvald Klaveness Group, which have significant operation within the
drybulk segment. She has had several positions within TKG, as VP Head of
Commercial Controlling, Risk Manager and Financial Analyst. Before this she held
a position in Hydro Energy as Structuring Analyst.
Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal holds the degree of Siv.Ing. (MSc) in Physics and
Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and
an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.
Herman Billung, Chief Executive Officer in Golden Ocean Management AS says: "We
are very pleased to have Birgitte Vartdal joining our team. She has great
analytic skills and a very relevant background for her new job. We anticipate
that she will make a solid contribution to a further positive development of
Golden Ocean"
Vartdal will formally take over the position as Golden Oceans CFO no later than
1 August 2010.
