Advanced Inflight Alliance AG announces financial results for the first
nine months of 2012:
- Consolidated Group revenues up over 11 percent to EUR 99.2 million
- Operating result (EBIT) of EUR 8.4 million up over 13 percent compared to
last year's EBIT adjusted for restructuring costs
- Publication of the comprehensive 9-months report postponed due to 'Global
Eagle'-Transaction
Munich, November 14, 2012 - Advanced Inflight Alliance AG (ISIN
DE0001262186; WKN 126218; domiciled at: Schellingstr. 35, 80799 Munich)
today released its financial results for the first nine months 2012:
In the third quarter 2012 the Advanced Inflight Alliance AG continued the
positive trend already seen in the first six months of the fiscal year.
Consolidated Group revenues climbed over 11 percent in the first nine
months of 2012 from EUR 89.1 million to EUR 99.2 million. The two
acquisitions made in 2011 being instrumental in this development.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA)
amounted to EUR 11.9 million in the first nine months of 2012 and therefore
increased by over 72 percent compared to the EBITDA in the prior-year
period of EUR 6.9 million. However, the EBITDA of the first nine months of
2011 was negatively affected by one-time effects at the total amount of EUR
3.7 million due to restructuring measures executed in 2011 (EUR 3.2
million) as well as acquisitions executed in 2011 (EUR 0.5 million). The
first nine months of 2012 only contain one-time effects for the
acquisitions executed in 2012 at the amount of EUR 0.2 million. The EBITDA
in the first nine months of 2012 includes negative foreign currency effects
reported of EUR 0.3 million compared to positive foreign currency effects
reported of EUR 0.1 million in the first nine months of 2011. The EBITDA
adjusted for one-time effects and reported foreign currency effects rose to
EUR 12.3 million in the first nine months of 2012 compared to EUR 10.5
million in the prior-year period. This represents an increase of 18
percent.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in the first nine months of 2012
increased by more than 100 percent to EUR 8.4 million compared to the
previous year's EBIT of EUR 4.2 million. Only adjusted for restructuring
costs the previous year's EBIT was EUR 7.4 million, compared to which the
EBIT in the first nine months of 2012 did grow by 13 percent. The EBIT
adjusted for all one-time effects and reported foreign currency effects in
the first 9 months of 2012 was EUR 8.8 million compared to EUR 7.7 million
in the prior-year period. This represents an increase of 14 percent.
The Advanced Inflight Alliance Group is reporting earnings before taxes
(EBT) for the first nine months of 2012 of EUR 7.7 million. Compared to the
prior-year period EBT of EUR 3.8 million. This represents an increase of
more than 100 percent. The EBT adjusted for one-time effects and reported
foreign currency effects in the first 9 months 2012 was EUR 8.1 million
compared to EUR 7.3 million in the prior-year period. This represents an
increase of 10 percent.In line with legal requirements Advanced Inflight Alliance AG will release
it's Interim Announcement (Zwischenmitteilung) according to§37x WpHG
(WpHG - German Securities Trading Act) today.
In order to increase the transparency for capital markets, Advanced
Inflight Alliance AG voluntary releases a more comprehensive report for the
respective quarters since the first quarter of 2011, which in addition to
descriptions concerning the course of business also contain a income
statement as well as a balance sheet for the reporting date. Advanced
Inflight Alliance AG intends to also provide this level of information for
the developments in the first nine months of 2012. Due to the planned
transaction between PAR Investment Partners L. P., Boston, USA, and Global
Eagle Acquisition Corp., Los Angeles, USA, that was announced in an
adhoc-release on November 8, 2012, the work for preparing the more
comprehensive report on the developments in the first nine months of 2012
was delayed. In addition, the financials for the first nine months 2012 of
Advanced Inflight Alliance AG will be part of official filings in context
with the before mentioned transaction and therefore need to be reviewed.
Therefore Advanced Inflight Alliance AG expects to be able to complete and
release its more comprehensive report for the first nine months of 2012 by
mid December 2012. As soon as the report is available, it will be released
