Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd. Announces Appointment of New Director
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- Strategic Oil & Gas Ltd. ("Strategic" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: SOG) is pleased to announce that Brian Lavergne, of Calgary, Alberta has joined the board of Strategic. Gurpreet Sawhney, CEO of the Company, said "We are delighted to have someone with Brian's back ground join the board as Strategic moves into its second year of accelerated growth. We expect significant progress over the next year and Brian's input will be most welcome."
Mr. Lavergne has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta (1989) and is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta. Mr. Lavergne was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Storm Exploration Inc. ("Storm") from 2004 until the sale of Storm to ARC Resources Ltd. in August 2010. Mr. Lavergne joined Storm in 1998 after several years with Renaissance Energy Ltd.
