SupplyOn adds transport management technology from inet-logistics to its
portfolio
Portfolio expansion allows significant savings to be made in logistics
costs through the seamless integration of procurement and transport
management processes
Hallbergmoos, December 3, 2012 - SupplyOn AG, provider of the leading web
platform for cross-company collaboration in the manufacturing industry, is
implementing technology from inet-logistics GmbH on the SupplyOn platform.
This will add fully developed and comprehensive transport management
functions to the existing SCM solution from SupplyOn.
The result is a software-as-a-service solution that is unique on the market
and makes the entire process transparent - from the demand notification,
the shipment and transport planning through to the freight invoice. In
addition, the portfolio includes modules for empties and slot management.
The integrated solution makes complex global logistics networks transparent
and manageable. It offers companies substantial savings potential that
cannot be achieved with conventional transport management solutions.
The software from inet-logistics GmbH is already used today in over 80
countries to plan and manage more than 60 million shipments. The solutions
from SupplyOn are used at around 10,000 companies in 70 countries. This
widespread use is not only proof of the acceptance of the solutions, but,
most importantly, the prerequisite for successful global implementation
projects.
