Continental Opens a Public Affairs Liaison Office in Berlin
Automotive supplier appoints Harry Rogasch as Office Manager

(PresseBox) - Continental, the international automotive supplier, will be opening its new Liaison Office for Public Affairs in Berlin, Germany, on January 1, 2013. It has appointed Harry Rogasch, 51, as the new office head. His responsibilities will include representing the legislative and regulatory interests of the company's Rubber and Automotive Groups and engaging in dialogue with political, administrative, and regulatory institutions in the German capital.
"With our new office, we will steadily intensify and enrich our increasing dialogue between Continental and Berlin's governmental and non-governmental institutions," said Dr. Elmar Degenhart, chairman of the Executive Board at Continental. "We are convinced that we can make substantial contributions to the public discussion of all topics across mobility and transportation thanks to our wide-ranging systems expertise and innovation know-how."
With the same goals in mind, Continental opened another new liaison office only four months ago, in Brussels, capital of Europe, Belgium, to promote dialogue with the EU. This is in addition to the recently opened Washington, D.C., USA, office, which aims to contribute to political dialogue in the American capital.
Harry Rogasch is a proven expert with a comprehensive background in governmental and political relations. Before joining Continental, he was at Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany, first in sales, and then as the head of their department of External Affairs, Governmental and Political Relations. Most recently, he worked at Bosch-Rexroth in Laatzen, Germany, as the Vice President of Marketing, responsible for representing the interests of all the company's sites in the state of Lower Saxony.
"We are pleased to welcome Harry Rogasch to our team. We will benefit from his broad knowledge and his experience with the political and regulatory processes in Berlin. His representation is just element of a comprehensive public affairs strategy that we have been pursuing for some time with the goal of strengthening the bridges between politics and business," explained Dr. Felix Gress, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Continental in Hanover.
