Slickdeals Launches Official iPhone App
Push Notifications Allow Users to Receive Alerts for New Frontpage Deals
(firmenpresse) - LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 12/18/12 -- Slickdeals (), the largest community-based deal sharing site in the country, today released its official iPhone app. The app offers full access to Slickdeals' Frontpage, Local and Popular deals pages as well as 18 forums where users can participate in discussions about Product Reviews, Tech Support, Finance, Games and more.
The Slickdeals app takes advantage of a number of iOS features for deal hunters. Push notifications enable users to receive alerts when new deals appear on the Frontpage. The Local Deals page uses location services to accurately determine relevant deals for users on-the-go. The Slickdeals app also allows users to browse Local Deals on a map view to identify deal proximities from a number of local deal providers such as Groupon and LivingSocial.
Similar to the full site, the Slickdeals app opens up to the Frontpage where the best user-vetted deals can be found. Users who are logged in to their Slickdeals accounts can browse, vote on and comment on deals directly from their iOS devices. When users are ready to purchase a deal, they can click on the "Go To" button and users will be redirected to the merchant's site.

The Slickdeals iPhone app is now available for download at the App Store (). The Slickdeals team is currently developing an Android app that will be available in early 2013.
