focus@will Delivers Music Technology Tool to Enhance Focus and Retain Information

(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/19/12 -- Backed by two years of in-depth productivity research, focus(at)will [] today launched their private beta of a revolutionary new music service that helps patrons focus and retain information when working, studying, writing and reading. In a world of increasing distractions, the system answers a call for solutions to help people consistently focus on their tasks. Pioneering the newly defined Productivity Music space, focus(at)will is the first-ever online music tool that effectively delivers productivity on demand. Focus(at)will's private beta is available through a cross platform HTML5 web app, and will roll out native mobile apps for iOS and Android in the future.

"Many people listen to music while they work to keep them focused, but what they don't know is that the music they listen to often actually distracts them from the task at hand," said Will Henshall, CEO of focus(at)will. "Through focus(at)will, we've created a new music platform that increases productivity levels and helps our patrons concentrate on the work that needs to get done."

Focus(at)will has shown to be extremely effective at improving concentration for 2 out of 3 people. It is complementary to music platforms available today because it is specifically targeted for activities that require focus or concentration. The system uses a unique cloud-based adaptive audio engine that delivers a new exclusively tailored music library to improve productivity. Each composition has been analyzed using a custom-built focus genome sequencer that maps weightings of specific characteristics of each sound recording, including musical key, arrangement, intensity, emotional value and recording style to scientifically determine the most effective playlist for concentration.

Focus(at)will's research found that most people can only effectively concentrate for a maximum of about 100 continuous minutes before needing to take a quick break and starting another session. The system assists during a typical productivity cycle by gently guiding the listener into a concentration flow state and then sustaining focus during habituation phases. It works in the background by subtly soothing the limbic system, the evolutionary part of the brain that is always on the lookout for danger, food and sex.

Focus(at)will's unique music service is an effective tool to assist users with their productivity goals.
