Jasper's annual winter festival invites visitors to extend their holiday cheer

Fresh off the Holiday season, Jasper keeps the festivities going with the 24th Winter Festival. This two-week event is packed with awesome events from the ATCO Family Street Party (and fireworks!) to Hops & Scotch at the Sawridge Inn; there is an for everybody!
Connoisseurs of food and drink will find plenty of options to satisfy their palates. The Mountain Park Lodge's Chili Cook-Off, Mill St. Brewery beer and cheese pairing and Wine in Winter evenings will shake even the most steadfast New Year's Resolution. Thankfully, comedians Sterling Scott and Lars Callieou have that covered, too, with their Broken Resolutions comedy show at The Jasper Brewing Co.

Winterstruck, held at Pyramid Lake on Saturday, January 12th is sure to make some memories! With Dogsled rides provided by Cold Fire Creek Dogsledding, winter bocce on the frozen Pyramid Lake and Mountain Man (women and children too!) it's easy to get lost in the action.
And although there are plenty of unique Jasper in January activities happening, visitors shouldn't ignore what makes Jasper such an appealing destination all year long. Every door is a literal step away from the Canadian Rockies and the endless adventures they offer. Strap on some snowshoes or cross country ski's and explore Jasper's many maintained trails, rent skis or a snowboard and head to Marmot Basin or simply walk through town and enjoy the views.
