Company Appoints New Director of Sales for United States and Canada
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/21/13 -- RAE Systems Inc., a leading developer of gas and radiation detection systems for , today announced that gas detection industry veteran, Trent Smith, has joined the company.
Smith will become the new director of sales for the Eastern United States and Canada, and will be responsible for the development and growth of sales for RAE Systems' wireless gas and radiation detection systems.
Prior to joining RAE Systems, Smith worked in several safety engineer and safety professional positions, notably in the United States Air Force and the petro-chemical industry. His most recent position was director of sales for Portable Instrumentation at Honeywell Analytics. Smith holds an Occupational Safety and Health Management degree from Louisiana State University.
RAE Systems is experiencing strong growth since the merger with Vector Capital in 2011; the company's charter has been to build growth by strategically adding to its leadership team. Since Vector Capital took over, the company has added key executives and management staff including: , COO; , CFO and VP of Finance; , global director of Applications and Solutions; , vice president of Radiation Instrumentation; , corporate controller; and , RAE Systems America's Mesh and Fixed Systems sales manager.
