Kesko enhances its IT services in cooperation with Tieto

Kesko and Tieto have signed a comprehensive four-year cooperation agreement on
the supply of IT services. With this agreement, Kesko continues to enhance and
centralise its IT services.
Tieto continues as a supplier of the Kesko Group's infrastructure services, such
as capacity, workstation and integration services. In addition, cooperation will
be expanded in the maintenance and development work of the Kesko Group's SAP
systems and other business applications.
During the agreement period, Tieto will also supply Kesko with other IT services
supporting business, related, for instance, to increasing electronic business
processes and offering new electronic services to consumers.
"The key target for us is to centralise and improve the efficiency in the
production of continuous IT services and to ensure the continuity and high
quality level of services. When selecting a supplier, Tieto's strategy and
strong investments in new, innovative retail solutions and competence played an

"The comprehensive agreement with Kesko strengthens our role both in the retail
and SAP market in Finland. It also provides us with opportunities to develop
completely new types of services at the stores' customer interface and support
