Local Company Climbs Space Needle and Donates $100,000 in Support of Domestic Violence Prevention
Woodinville-Based BDA Inc.'s Charity, Susan's Rock, Holds the Rock the Needle Event to Raise Awareness for Domestic Violence

(BDA), the Woodinville-based Merchandise Agency™, announces the Rock the Needle event for the BDA Cares Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization developed to oversee the company's philanthropic giving. The driving force behind the BDA Cares Foundation is , named in honor of a longtime BDA family member and victim of domestic violence. In addition to the climb, Susan's Rock will make its first official donation of $100,000 to local domestic violence organizations.
Thursday, January 24, nearly 500 BDA associates will ascend onto the Seattle Space Needle as a select 100 people show their strength by climbing all 848 steps from the base to the top. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and destigmatize domestic violence -- an epidemic affecting one in four women in the US.
As part of the company-wide charity efforts, BDA is also encouraging the public to lend its support for domestic violence awareness and prevention through donations. Donations received during the Rock the Needle event will be used to aide domestic violence programs in Washington State and beyond.

500 BDA employees, guests, and select sponsors will Rock the Needle. Approximately 100 BDA employees will show their strength by climbing the Space Needle staircase all the way to the observation deck, while additional employees will simultaneously walk the skyline level and observation deck.
