Hold on Tight!

(PresseBox) - To attenuate the power of the laser, a combination of polarizers and l/2 retardation plates is used. Regulated by the rotation of the plate another percentage of the original power passes. LASER COMPONENTS offers optomechanical components to easy adjust the l/2 plates: The PPM series rotational mounts. The PPM series is equipped with two scales with which the retardation plate can be precisely positioned within a few arc minutes. A set screw with a nylon tip is used to lock the angle. These optomechanical mounts are designed for ringmounts with an outer diameter of 1.0" or 2.0".
Prisms and Cubes are comfortably placed in the optical path using the PD series. With a mounting surface of 38 mm x 25 mm, they are large enough for beam splitting cubes that have an edge length of up to 23.0 mm. The clamping system holds the components in place. Two knurled-head screws aid in finding the right position. With these screws the components can be tilted vertically or horizontally by ± 4°. The PT series has two threaded holes on the bottom of the mount: M6x1P and M4x1P - for the flexible usage.
