Tessenderlo Group completes sale of continental European Profiles activities

Tessenderlo Group (NYSE Euronext: TESB) announced today that it has completed
the sale of its continental European Profiles activities to OpenGate Capital, a
global private investment company.
On August 29 2012, the group announced its intention to divest the continental
European Profiles activities. Information and consultation procedures were
subsequently successfully completed.
This divestment is in line with Tessenderlo Group's strengthened focus on
specialty products and services in the areas of food, agriculture, water
management and valorizing bio-residuals.
The continental European Profiles activities, known under the brand name
Profialis, include production facilities in France (Clerval) and Belgium
(Oeselgem), distribution centers in Hungary and Poland, and employ more than
300 people.
Tessenderlo Group is a worldwide specialty company, focused on food,
agriculture, water management and on valorizing bio-residuals. The group employs
about 7,500 people and is a leader in most of its markets, with a consolidated
revenue of 2.1 billion EUR in 2011. Tessenderlo Chemie NV is listed on NYSE
Eurolist by Euronext Brussels and is part of Next 150 and BEL Mid indices.
