Burrill Securities Continues Expansion of Its Investment Banking Activities With Addition of Andrew Daniels
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/04/13 -- Burrill Securities, a division of Burrill & Company, today announced that Andrew Daniels, a veteran of Deutsche Bank Securities and Cowen and Company, has joined Burrill Securities as Managing Director in the Equity Capital Markets Group. Andrew brings tremendous expertise to the group's capital raising efforts.
The addition of Daniels, who joins the firm from Merriman Capital, follows the hiring of Frederick Frank as Chairman of Burrill Securities and Mary Tanner as Senior Managing Director earlier this year. Daniels brings to Burrill deep experience raising capital for life sciences companies through CMPOs, PIPEs, registered direct offerings, and other instruments. Daniels' past work has included engagements with companies such as Cougar, Medivation, Kosan, Micromet, and Genelabs.

Daniels brings almost 20 years of investment banking experience and has been exclusively focused on life sciences companies since 1999. Prior to Merriman Capital, he held the position with Janney Securities, Deutsche Bank Securities, Cowen and Company, and Paramount Capital. He began his career at Morgan Stanley.
He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BBA from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
