Grantham University and Defense Acquisition University Renew Partnership
(firmenpresse) - KANSAS CITY, MO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/11/13 -- Grantham University and the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, which will provide DAU students with the opportunity to apply academic transfer credit for approved courses directly to Grantham University's s.
Key representatives for both institutions were on hand for the ceremony, including: Grantham University President, Mr. Joseph McGrath; Dr. Marilyn Bartels - Grantham University Provost and Chief Academic Officer; Defense Acquisition University Acting President, Dr. James McMichael; and Wayne Glass, DAU Program Director, Strategic Partnerships.
"Our federal employees have devoted themselves to a career in civil service, one in which they must hold themselves and others accountable to high standards," said Joseph McGrath, Grantham University President. "This program will ensure that DAU students receive the college credit they've earned over the course of their training as they work toward their higher education goals."
The partnership between Grantham and DAU was originally established in 2006. Through this ongoing relationship, Grantham's online courses and degree programs are readily accessible to DAU students who wish to further their education by pursuing a college degree. "At DAU, we're constantly reviewing our courses and materials to be sure we're providing the most accurate and up-to-date information possible," said DAU Acting President, Dr. James McMichael. "We believe maintaining currency in our partnerships is just as important and Grantham has been a great proponent of that as well."
